We collect the absolute minimum data necessary to operate the service.

Data You Provide

When you use GetYTSubtitles, you submit URLs (YouTube video links, Instagram usernames, X post links, etc.). We do not store these URLs after processing your request. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information.

Data Collected Automatically

Like most websites, our servers automatically log:

  • IP address (anonymized after 24 hours)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time of visit
  • Referring URL

This data is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate analytics (e.g., understanding which features are most used). It is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

URLs submitted for processing are not stored after the request is complete. Server logs containing anonymized IP addresses are retained for 30 days for security purposes, then permanently deleted. Theme preference cookies expire after 1 year or when you clear your browser data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
